Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Encounter Deep Stone Crypt Raid
Warning: This is an article that is a work-in-progress guide for the second encounter of the Deep Stone Crypt Destiny 2 Beyond Light Raid. If something does not make sense, it’s because we are entering this info in real-time and will come back to update and add images and other graphics needed to complete this section of the Raid.
We have finished our first Deep Stone Crypt guide that details how to complete the Disable Crypt Security encounter.
Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Mechanics
The second encounter, Atraks-1, Fallen Exo, in Destiny 2, Beyond Light Deep Stone Crypt Raid takes place in the Clarity Control area and a new area called the Orbital platform. The object of this encounter is to transfer the Seeker buff between fireteam members located in the Clarity Control and Orbital platforms areas.
The idea of transferring a buff and the fireteam operating and communicating in separate locations carries into the second encounter, which will remain the main mechanic premise of the entire Deep Stone Crypt Raid.
Deep Stone Crypt Raid Mechanic Note: Do not shoot Warmine Cells during the DPS phase or it can possibly wipe the entire team.
Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Mechanics Explained
Three players go to the left side of the Clarity Control area to start off the encounter. One team is known as the Clarity Control team and the other team will be the Orbital platform team.
Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Mechanic Note: Just as important as passing the buffs and defusing, de-buffing the Atraks-Replicator buff is to set up and assign servitor killing duties. Each phase of this encounter cannot progress unless two servitors that spawn in the Clarity Control and Orbital platform areas are defeated.
To start off the encounter, the best approach is to have each team of three split off to the left and right side of Clarity Control. Designate one player from each team to kill the servitor. Two players, one from each side, enter the Clarity Control middle area to transport via the transport pods up to another area called the Orbital platform.
Once the two players are transported to the Orbital platform area, enemies will start to spawn. Two servitors will spawn, one on each side of the Orbital platform area, designated players to dispatch one of the two servitors on either side.
Once the servitors are cleared, a Vandal carrying the Seeker buff will spawn, normally in the lower center of the Orbital platform area. A designated Seeker buff carrier will kill the Vandal and the Seeker buff will drop on the floor. The designated player is to pick up the Seeker buff. This player is the one player who is able to see where Atraks-1, Fallen Exo’s hologram spawns on the Orbital platform. After the designated Seeker buff carrier calls out where Atraks-1, Fallen Exo’s hologram spawns. The three players on the Orbital platform must coordinate their DPS damage approach together to be able to damage Atraks-1, Fallen Exo enough during each DPS phase.
Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Mechanic Note: The three players on either the Orbital platform or in the Clarity Control area must coordinate their DPS damage approach together, at the same time, to be able to damage Atraks-1, Fallen Exo enough during each DPS phase. Each DPS phase of Atraks-1, Fallen Exo should take at least 1/8th of health down, preferable closer to a quarter, to prevent the enrage wipe mechanic from activating.
Team Clarity Control
During this time, the team in the Clarity Control area is doing basically the same thing as soon as the Orbital platform team transfers them the Seeker buff.
One player of the six-man fireteam kills this Vandal and obtains the Operator buff. After this happens, the area in the middle opens up and allows access to the transport pod tubes that can bring two players (one from each side of three players) up to the “space” in the Orbital platform area.
The two players in the Orbital platform area in space need to kill the two servitors that spawn on each side of the space area. Once this is done, it will spawn a Vandal that allows one player to pick up the Scanner buff in the Space area.
Players who enter the vacuum transport pod tubes will be brought up to the upper level, or into the “space” in the Orbital platform area.
One player from each side goes into the “space” to the Orbital platform area. Once to the Orbital platform, they will need to clear enemies until two servitors spawn, one on each side of the Orbital platform area. Once the servitors are killed, a Hacker Vandal will spawn on the lower deck area of the Orbital platform. One player must kill this Hacker Vandal, allowing the Seeker buff to drop. This player will be able to see the invisible captain that spawns in the Orbital platform area, allowing them and the other players up top to kill this Captain.
Then the player up top passes the buff down to the other part of the fireteam below using the Augmentation Terminal. Back on the lower level, after all enemies have been dispatched on the lower level, one player can wait by the lower Augmentation Terminal, so once the invisible Captain up in space has been killed, the holder of the Seeker buff transfers it back down.
Deep Stone Crypt Raid Mechanic Note: Servitors need to killed before allowing the Seeker buff to be passed to either the top or bottom areas.
Multiple players carrying the Atraks-Replicator buff must enter the area to the door together to
