Gamer Ninja Review of The Fool’s Remedy Legendary Sidearm

Players may remember The Fool’s Remedy from the early seasons of Destiny 2 Iron Banner. It used to drop with a static roll of full auto and moving target; then, you rework the Masterwork of the weapon to support either Vanguard (PVE) play or Crucible (PVP) play. Bungie has brought back The Fool’s Remedy in Destiny 2’s eleventh season, Season of Arrivals, and now Guardians can obtain random rolls.

All it takes to get the sidearm is to play first see Lord Saladin in the tower and pick up the quest he offers next to the Iron Banner bounties. Then all you have to do is play Iron Banner for a few hours and complete the quest, which requires twenty-five auto rifle kills and twenty-five sidearm kills. Depending upon your skill level, highly skilled Guardians can have this quest done in under an hour, so this quest is not that time-consuming. Once you complete the quest, one will drop for you in your inventory, and then you unlock The Fool’s Remedy to drop with random rolls as match completion rewards and when you turn in Iron Banner tokens to Lord Saladin.

Should You Grind The Fool’s Remedy?

The Fool’s Remedy sidearm was and still is a very good and fun sidearm for use in both Destiny 2 PVP and PVE activities. What makes this D2 sidearm unique is you can roll Iron Grip or Iron Gaze on it, in which these two perks have been known to favor console and controller players more than PC mouse and keyboard players. The reason why The Fool’s remedy

At a .67 TTK and five crits and one body shots to kill, this sidearm with a SUROS Rapid-Fire frame and 450 rounds per minute crushes in close quarters combat and tight area engagements. The aim assists perks of The Fool’s Remedy sidearm are what make this a much more attractive weapon to grind for console and controller players. The gun does most of the aiming for you, with little effort on players having to zero in on their opponent’s head or other vital areas to make the kill.

The significant aspect of this sidearm is the SUROS Rapid-Fire full auto perk that comes rolled into it. There is no need to grind for a roll that has full auto, and full auto does not take up a perk slot.

So, overall, Gamer Ninja highly suggests Guardians put effort into grinding out the Iron Banner quest to get and unlock The Fool’s Remedy so you can grind and farm out the random roll that works best for your gameplay style and needs.

The Fool’s Remedy PVP God Roll

Since this is a Destiny 2 sidearm, so any God Roll would include stability as the Masterwork intrinsic perk. Stability is a must on a D2 sidearm, with range Masterwork being a second option. As far as other weapon perks that would make The Fool’s Remedy a God Roll tier sidearm, they very upon a player’s skill and play style.

THE FOOL’S REMEDY

GOD ROLL OPTION ONE (BEST)

  • Tactical SAS
  • High Caliber Rounds
  • Feeding Frenzy
  • Range Finder
  • Stability Masterwork

THE FOOL’S REMEDY

GOD ROLL OPTION ONE (VERY GOOD)

  • Tactical SAS
  • High Caliber Rounds
  • Fourth Times the Charm
  • Range Finder
  • Stability Masterwork

Gamer Ninja’s first random roll The Fool’s Remedy drop included a stability Masterwork, with the Fourth Times the Charm and Range Finder. This is not exactly “God Roll” territory, but these perks make the gun feels crips and handle very nice.

Although this sidearm does not directly replace some of the other Destiny 2 sidearms currently available, such as the Last Hope or the Breachlight, as far as TTK, The Fool’s Remedy makes up for it in the aim assist and overall feel when using on a controller and a gaming console. The gun simply feels solid and handles superbly.
